Groundworks Quantity Surveyor

Groundworks Quantity Surveyor (In-House Housebuilder) We are working with an established and growing housebuilder who are looking to appoint an experienced Groundworks Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on an in-house basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a QS with strong residential groundworks experience who wants to move into a client/developer environment and play a key role in the successful delivery of multiple housing developments. The Role Reporting to a Director, you will be responsible for the commercial management of groundworks, infrastructure and associated external works across a portfolio of residential developments. Your responsibilities will include: Managing groundworks and infrastructure packages from procurement through to final account Preparing and reviewing subcontract enquiries and tender returns. Negotiating subcontract packages and securing competitive costs. Producing cost plans, budgets and forecasts. Reviewing valuations, variations and payment applications. Managing subcontractor accounts and final accounts. Monitoring costs against budget and identifying commercial risks. Working closely with Construction, Technical, Development and Procurement teams. Supporting the delivery of roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, foundations and external works. Maintaining accurate commercial records and reporting regularly to senior management. Assisting with value engineering and identifying opportunities to improve project performance. ..... full job details .....
