Groundworks, Civil & Rail Engineering Lecturer – Up to £42,000 + 39 Days' Holiday

Ready to pass on what you've learned on site? Henry Blue is recruiting a Groundworks, Civil & Railway Engineering Lecturer for a well-established, forward-thinking FE college in Nottinghamshire.

You'll teach Level 1, 2 and 3 Groundworks, Civil and Railway Engineering courses to young people and adult learners, including full-time students and employed apprentices. You'll be part of the Engineering department and report to the Head of Department.

The role

• Plan, deliver and develop theory and practical lessons at Levels 1–3
• Assess learners and keep accurate records of their progress
• Create and develop learning resources
• Act as personal tutor to a group of learners
• Help with quality reviews and keep up to date with curriculum and industry changes

What we're looking for

• Recent industry experience in Groundworks, Civil Engineering or Rail Engineering
• A Level 3 qualification in a relevant trade, or willingness to work towards one
• A1 Assessor award or equivalent, or willingness to complete it within 6 months
• English and Maths at Level 2, or willingness to work towards them within 6 months
• A full driving licence and/or your own transport
• Good communication skills and a flexible, professional approach

Desirable

• A teaching qualification (CTLLS / Level 4 or equivalent)
• V1 Verifier award
• IOSH qualification
• Experience of teaching or training groups
