Groundworker (Shetland Islands)

We are looking for an experienced Groundworkers for a 7-month infrastructure project in the Shetland Islands.The project involves approximately 1,500 metres of large open-cut trenching through fields and peatland, installing three 8-inch power ducts and fibre optic cables, plus a further 2,400 metres of trenching along a carriageway, including tarmac reinstatement.Requirements:Experience laying/reinstating tarmac is essentialPrevious utilities, ducting, trenching or infrastructure experience preferredFit and capable of working on a demanding outdoor projectReliable and able to commit to the full rotationReferences required from previous employersRelevant CPCS/NPORS qualification required11 days on / 4 days off, with travel to and from Shetland and accommodation paid for by the client.If you are an experienced operator looking for a long-term project in Shetland, please get in touch with your CV and relevant tickets/references.Barker Ross Group values diversity and promotes equality.
