Groundworker

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworker to join a live construction site delivering a new school build. This role focuses on services and drainage work, so we''re looking for someone confident laying pipework, ducting, and utilities to a high standard.

Key Duties:

• Installing below-ground drainage systems, including foul and surface water
• Laying and connecting services (water, gas, electric, telecoms ducting)
• Excavation, trench work, and backfilling in line with drawings and specifications
• Setting levels, pipe laying to falls, and manhole construction
• Working safely and efficiently alongside other trades on an active school site
• Ensuring all work meets site safety standards and quality requirements

Requirements:

• Proven experience in groundworks, specifically services/drainage
• Valid CSCS card (essential)
• Confident reading and working from technical/construction drawings
• Own PPE (site will provide additional requirements if needed)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team
• Experience on school/education sector sites is a plus but not essential
