If so, this contractor is seeking a Groundworker on a Permanent contract to cover Bedford and the surrounding areas, a Van and Fuel Card will be supplied alongside other great benefits -

As the Groundworker, you will be responsible for duties such as:

• All aspects of external ground works
• Excavate foundations, footings, and service trenches to required depths and dimensions
• Install drainage systems, manholes, gullies, and inspection chambers
• Lay and compact sub-base materials; pour and finish concrete for slabs, bases and Kerbs
• Carry out hard landscaping, including kerb laying, block paving, and footpath/road construction

To be successful as a Groundworker must have the following:

• Previous experience as groundworker in construction
• Competence with hand tools, power tools, and small plant
• Ability to read site drawings and set out levels
• Knowledge of drainage, foundations, fencing, and hard landscaping work
