Parks Cleansing OperativeWe are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Streetscene team, carrying out day-to-day cleansing duties across parks and open spaces.This is a hands-on, outdoor role where you will play a key part in maintaining clean, safe and welcoming public areas. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help deliver a high-quality and consistent service.Location: Bennet Road Depot, 19 Bennet Road, Reading, RG2 0QX Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am start Start Date: End of January 2027 Key Responsibilities Carry out litter picking and general cleansing duties in parks and open spacesMaintain high standards of cleanliness in line with set schedulesConduct visual inspections of children s playground equipment and safety surfacing, reporting any defectsSupport other operational teams during peak periodsEnsure public safety and apply byelaws and regulations appropriatelyDrive vehicles (up to 3.5 tonnes) to transport equipment, materials and wasteCarry out basic maintenance checks on equipment About You Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditionsPhysically fit and able to carry out manual tasksReliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently or as part of a teamTake pride in maintaining clean and safe environmentsGood communication skills and a professional approach Requirements Full UK manual driving licence (Category B or C1)Confident driving vans or tipper vehicles up to 3.5 tonnesLicence will be checked prior to ..... full job details .....
