About the role

We are seeking a motivated Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in March. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that all designated areas meet high contract standards through effective hands-on horticultural practices and management. You will play a key role in creating and maintaining visually appealing landscapes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supervise day-to-day operations and allocate work to team members.
· Lead by example by undertaking operational duties alongside the workforce.
· Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
· Monitor productivity and work quality, providing guidance and support where required.
· Carry out site inspections and safety checks.
· Complete relevant paperwork, records and reports accurately and on time.
· Liaise with management, customers and stakeholders regarding operational requirements.
· Ensure vehicles, tools and equipment are maintained and used correctly.
· Support training and development of team members.
· Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements:
· Full UK Driving Licence.
· Minimum 2 years'' previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
· Good communication and organisational skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong commitment to health and safety.
Desirable:
· PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates.
· Experience within grounds maintenance, horticulture, landscaping, environmental services or a similar operational environment.
· First Aid trained.
