Grounds Maintenance Operative - Temporary aprox May to AugustHourly Rate: £12.85Location: Tavistock Job Type: Full-timeWe are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our grounds maintenance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work and has a keen interest in maintaining the aesthetics and safety of outdoor spaces. The primary duties will involve grass cutting and litter picking, ensuring our grounds are well-kept and presentable.Day-to-day of the role:Perform routine grass cutting using various types of mowers and trimming equipment.Conduct litter picking to maintain cleanliness across all maintained areas.Operate a range of hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently.Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment used.Report any issues or hazards identified on-site to the management promptly.Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures at all times.Required Skills and Qualifications:Experience in grounds maintenance or a similar role is preferred but not essential.Ability to operate maintenance equipment, including lawnmowers and hand tools.Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.Good time management skills to complete tasks within scheduled hours.A team player who can also work independently.Attention to detail and pride in creating visually appealing outdoor spaces.Benefits:Stable working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm.Competitive hourly rate.Opportunities for training and development in grounds ..... full job details .....
