Opus People Solutions are excited to recruit on behalf of Vertas for a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join the Facilities Team.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining outdoor spaces and enjoys working as part of a team to deliver high standards across school environments.Location: Newark (travel between multiple school sites) or NG5 6NZ Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:30Contract: Temporary (with potential to become permanent)Key ResponsibilitiesMaintaining school outdoor areas to a high standardGrass cutting and general grounds upkeepOperating equipment such as strimmers and other powered toolsMarking out football pitches and running track linesEnsuring all areas are tidy, safe, and presentable at all timesTravelling between various school locations across the Newark areaRequirementsA full UK driving licence (essential)Enhanced DBS check (required due to working in schools)Previous grounds maintenance or similar experience desirableAbility to safely operate landscaping equipment and power toolsStrong work ethic and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAre you passionate about cleaning, teamwork, and delivering exceptional service?
