Grounds Maintenance Operative

NORTHAMPTON

RG Setsquare is supporting a contractor who would like to appoint a new team of 2 Operatives to join their direct work force asap.


They work on newly built housing developments, post build, maintaining the green spaces on the estates and sites. The works are carried out once the homes are tenanted and the areas to maintain include park areas, fields and public communal areas accessible to the general public.

Duties will include:

  • Mowing - Ride on mower experience preferable
  • Strimming - Operating commercial strimmers previously is desirable
  • Weed, shrub and bush management
  • Litter picking - keeping the areas clean and tidy in general
  • Adhering to health and safety

You will drive to the yard each morning, pick up the van with the 2nd member of your team, carry out the works in your allocated route, completing the scheduled works and then drive back to the yard at the end of the day to drop the van and machinery back each evening.

A CSCS Card is preferable, but not essential. This can be obtained any time when the successful candidate is offered the role.
