Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Operative Location: East London Salary: £28,000 per annum (DOE) Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am 5:00 pmAbout the Role: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a local authority team in East London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a varied and rewarding role, maintaining and enhancing public green spaces across the borough.Key Responsibilities:Carry out general grounds maintenance and gardening duties to a high standard.Maintain lawns, flower beds, trees, shrubs, and other landscaped areas.Operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.Maintain vehicles and equipment provided, including adherence to fuel card use for business purposes.What We re Looking For:Proven experience in grounds maintenance or gardening.Full UK driving license (essential).PA1/PA6 certification (desirable) or horticulture qualifications (desirable).Strong work ethic and reliability.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.What We Offer:£28,000 per annun 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, 8 am 5 pm.Van and fuel card provided for business use.Opportunities for training and career development.If you have the skills, experience, and passion for maintaining high-quality public spaces, we would love to hear from you!
