Grounds Maintenance Operative

Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking a Grounds Maintenance Caretaker to work with a Local Authority on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role based in Skelmersdale, initially for a six month period. Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of caretaking and environmental maintenance duties to help maintain public spaces and facilities to a high standard. Working as part of an operational team, you will undertake practical maintenance tasks and support the delivery of a clean, safe and well-presented environment across the local area. Main Duties: Carry out grounds maintenance and caretaking duties across public spaces and facilities Operate handheld plant and equipment including weed sprayers, strimmers, hedge trimmers, blowers and jet washes Complete basic DIY repairs and maintenance tasks as required Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards across designated sites Assist with environmental maintenance activities to ensure public areas remain safe and accessible Follow all health and safety policies, procedures and safe working practices Work effectively as part of a team to deliver operational services Essential Criteria: Previous experience in grounds maintenance, caretaking or a similar environmental maintenance role Full UK Driver''s License Experience using handheld grounds maintenance equipment and machinery Ability to carry out basic DIY and maintenance tasks Good understanding of health and safety ..... full job details .....
