Location: Ruddington | Salary: £16.23/hour | Type: Contract | Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join Nottingham City Council''s Cemetry Team on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week.- Key Responsibilities Carry out grounds maintenance duties including grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming and general landscaping. Maintain cemetery grounds to a high standard of presentation, safety and cleanliness. Undertake litter picking and general site maintenance. Support grave digging and preparation activities when required. Assist with sexton duties and cemetery operations. Carry out memorial safety inspections and report any issues identified. Work alongside funeral directors, contractors and colleagues to support funeral and burial services. Requirements: Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, horticulture, parks maintenance or a similar outdoor role. Experience using grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, strimmers and hedge cutters. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
