About the Role

Berkeley Scott seeks a Grounds Keeper for temporary assignments across Wimbledon and wider London, primarily within education and healthcare settings. The role involves maintaining outdoor areas, ensuring cleanliness, and upholding health and safety standards. Working hours are flexible, with an hourly rate starting from £14.80. Applicants must hold an enhanced DBS certificate for child workforce, have right to work in the UK, provide two employment references, and possess at least one year of relevant experience. Certificates in COSHH and manual handling are required. Strong timekeeping, attention to detail, and high cleanliness standards are essential. Duties include general grounds upkeep, supporting site teams, and adapting to various environments as needed.

To work for us in one of our Schools you will need:


  • Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child workforce)
  • RTW in UK
  • 2x Employment References
  • 1-year minimum work experience in similar environment as a Cleaner
  • Health and Safety Certificates (including COSHH and Manual Handling)
  • Excellent time keeping skills
  • Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Helping maintain and improve outdoor grounds and landscaped areas
  • Operating lawn mowing equipment to keep grass neat and well presented
  • Sweeping and clearing pathways, patios, and communal spaces
  • Assisting with general grounds maintenance and outdoor upkeep
  • A hands on individual who isn''t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • A positive attitude and pride in maintaining high standards
