Ground Operations Officer

First People Solutions are looking for a full-time Ground Operations Officer to join our Aberdeen team on a fixed-term basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out all ground operations safely for both helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft
• Tow aircraft and ground equipment as required
• Provide safety cover during aircraft start-up and shutdown
• Refuel helicopters and support post-flight tasks, including cleaning
• Prepare, load, and unload baggage and freight in line with aircraft limits
• Identify and report any non-compliant or unsafe items
• Perform daily checks on vehicles, equipment, and ramp conditions
• Support winter safety measures, including de-icing walkways and maintaining grit supplies
• Promote a strong safety culture by identifying and reporting hazards

Requirements

Qualifications (desirable but not essential):

• Forklift licence
• HGV Class 2 licence
• Dangerous Goods Awareness

Essential:

• Full driving licence

Experience & Skills:

• Previous ground operations experience is beneficial (training provided)
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible and able to work shifts, including weekends
• Able to work independently and follow procedures
• Comfortable with physical tasks, including some heavy lifting
• Strong focus on safety and confidence to raise concerns
