The Principal Grid Engineer provides technical authority and senior leadership for transmission and distribution grid connection activities across the renewable energy portfolio. The role provides strategic leadership in the development, optimisation and delivery of grid infrastructure associated with renewable generation, energy storage and large demand customer projects. The role leads complex engineering studies, supports grid strategy development, manages critical technical interfaces with stakeholders and ensures compliance with all relevant Grid Code, connection policy and regulatory requirements. The Principal Grid Engineer provides technical assurance, mentoring and specialist expertise across the Grid Team while supporting the wider business in achieving commercially optimal and technically robust project outcomes.   The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:   Provide expert electrical and grid engineering support across renewable energy, energy storage, and large energy user projects.
