Graduate/Junior Mechanical Design/Estimator

Your new companyA small, growing air conditioning contractor based in Nottingham is looking to appoint a Mechanical Design and Estimator to support their expanding workload. The company delivers HVAC and air conditioning solutions across commercial and industrial projects, with a significant presence in the public sector, offering a hands-on environment with real involvement across design, estimating, and project delivery.Your new roleYou will take on a varied position combining both mechanical design and estimating responsibilities, supporting projects from initial enquiry through to delivery. This role is open to candidates from Graduate through to Senior level, with scope to tailor responsibilities based on experience.Your duties will include:Assisting in the design of air conditioning and HVAC systemsProducing technical drawings and basic calculations (with support for junior candidates)Preparing cost estimates, tenders, and quotationsReviewing specifications, drawings, and client requirementsLiaising with suppliers and manufacturers for pricing and technical adviceAttending occasional site visits and surveysSupporting project delivery and working closely with senior team membersWhat you''ll need to succeedBackground in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a similar discipline (qualification, apprenticeship, or relevant experience)Interest or experience in HVAC / air conditioning systemsStrong attention to detail and communication skillsAbility to work in an ..... full job details .....
