Supply Teach is recruiting graduates to work as-Cover Supervisors across secondary schools in Derby, supporting schools when their usual teachers are absent.

No teaching qualification is required. For graduates considering teacher training, this can be an excellent way to gain genuine classroom experience before deciding on your next step.

The role

As a Cover Supervisor, you''ll supervise secondary school classes where work has already been prepared by the absent teacher.

Your day could involve:

• Supervising pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Introducing pre-set activities and keeping pupils on task
• Managing classroom behaviour confidently and positively
• Responding to questions and providing general classroom support
• Following the school''s behaviour and safeguarding procedures

You-won''t be expected to plan lessons or take work home to mark.
