Graduate Transport Planner
We are delighted to be supporting a growing transport and engineering consultancy who are looking to appoint a Graduate Transport Planner to their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to kickstart your career in transport planning, gaining exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects - from small-scale residential developments through to complex, mixed-use schemes.
The Role
As a Graduate Transport Planner, you will play a key role in supporting the team across all aspects of transport planning and development. This role provides a varied workload and the opportunity to develop technical skills alongside experienced colleagues, with clear pathways for career progression.
Your responsibilities will include:
·Collecting, reviewing, and interpreting transport and traffic data.
·Assisting in the preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans.
·Using TRICS software to estimate trip generation for new developments.
·Supporting junction capacity modelling using industry-standard tools such as Junctions 9 and LinSig.
·Carrying out site visits and accessibility assessments for various transport modes.
·Collaborating with clients, local authorities, and multidisciplinary project teams.
·Contributing to written reports and technical documentation.
About You
We are seeking an enthusiastic graduate with a genuine interest in transport planning and development. You will bring:
·A degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Geography, or a related field.
·Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·The ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently when required.
·Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
·A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
