GRADUATE TRANSPORT ENGINEER
Location: London
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 + Bonus + Benefits
An award-winning transport planning and engineering consultancy is looking to recruit a Graduate Transport Engineer to join its growing team.
The business works on a wide range of development and infrastructure projects across the UK, supporting developers, architects, contractors and local authorities. Current projects include major residential developments, commercial schemes, town centre regeneration projects, active travel initiatives and sustainable transport strategies.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or postgraduate to begin their career within a supportive consultancy environment.
Working alongside experienced transport planners and engineers, you will gain exposure to the full project lifecycle and receive structured training and mentoring.
Responsibilities
• Assisting with the preparation of Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
• Supporting Travel Plan production
• Undertaking traffic data analysis and transport research
• Junction modelling using industry-standard software
• Assisting with highway and access assessments
• Supporting planning application submissions
• Preparing technical reports and presentation material
• Liaising with clients, local authorities and project teams
Requirements
• Degree or Master''s qualification in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Geography or a related discipline
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in transport planning, highways or traffic engineering
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team
Desirable
• Experience using AutoCAD, GIS, LinSig, ARCADY or PICADY
• Placement year or internship experience within engineering or transport
• Interest in sustainable transport and active travel
