Duties for the role of Graduate Town Planner:

• Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications and supporting documentation
• Undertaking planning policy research and reviewing relevant local and national planning guidance
• Supporting the preparation of planning statements, reports and other technical documents
• Liaising with clients, local planning authorities, consultants and other project stakeholders
• Monitoring planning applications and assisting with project coordination and administration
• Supporting the assessment of development proposals and identifying planning opportunities and constraints
• Contributing to projects across residential development, renewable energy and infrastructure
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across planning, landscape architecture and civil engineering

Requirements for the role of Graduate Town Planner:

• A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning or a related discipline
• A genuine interest in the built environment, development and the UK planning system
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and accurately
• Good research, analytical and organisational skills
• A proactive approach, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
