Job Title: Graduate Town Planner

Location: Cambridge

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Graduate Town Planner to join a growing Planning & Development team based in Cambridge. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of residential, mixed-use, commercial, and strategic development projects across the region.

You will gain hands-on experience supporting the planning process from initial site appraisals through to application submissions and project delivery, working alongside experienced planners in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals
• Undertaking planning research, policy reviews, and site appraisals
• Preparing planning statements, reports, and supporting documentation
• Liaising with local authorities, clients, consultants, and stakeholders
• Supporting senior planners across a range of development projects
• Monitoring planning policy and legislative updates

About You

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning, Geography, or a related discipline
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to develop professionally
• Interest in working towards RTPI accreditation/MRTPI status
• Previous planning experience or internship beneficial but not essential
