The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and therapists to support pupils with a range of special educational needs. You will provide both 1-2-1 and classroom-based support, helping pupils to engage with learning, develop social skills, and build confidence. The school supports children with a variety of needs including Autism, ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties, communication needs, and associated learning challenges. The Candidate
This role is ideally suited to a graduate who is considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, or another child-focused profession. You should be patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs. Previous experience working with children or vulnerable young people is advantageous, but not essential.
