Qualified Teaching Assistant - Early Intervention (Primary School, Blyth)

Are you a recent graduate looking to start your career in education? We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Qualifed Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in NE24, working within an early intervention role.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, or child development, offering hands-on experience supporting young learners at a crucial stage of their education.

About the Role:

  • Provide early intervention support to pupils in EYFS and KS1
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to raise attainment and build confidence
  • Support children with additional learning needs and help overcome barriers to learning
  • Assist in delivering targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy, and social development
  • Work closely with experienced teachers and the SENCO to track progress
  • Gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive environment

What We''re Looking For:

  • A recent graduate (any subject, though Education/Psychology-related degrees are advantageous)
  • A strong interest in pursuing a career in education or child-focused roles
  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children''s learning and development
  • Some experience working with children (desirable but not essential)
