An exciting opportunity to build a career in financial services
Our client is looking for a bright, ambitious graduate to join their growing team in a role that offers excellent training, exposure to senior people and a genuine opportunity to build a long-term career.
This is not a typical graduate position. From day one, you will be involved in live commercial transactions, working alongside experienced colleagues and gaining an understanding of how deals are assessed, structured and progressed.
You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge across finance, commercial analysis, sales and relationship management, giving you a fantastic foundation from which to progress within the business.
What will you be doing?
You will work closely with an experienced team, supporting a variety of commercial projects and transactions. Your responsibilities will develop as your knowledge and confidence grow and could include:
Supporting the team with live commercial transactions and projects.
Researching opportunities and gathering market information.
Working with internal teams to progress transactions from start to finish.
Preparing reports, presentations and supporting documentation.
Analysing information and maintaining accurate records.
Monitoring activity and keeping track of ongoing opportunities.
Building relationships with colleagues, customers and external business contacts.
Attending meetings and gaining exposure to experienced commercial professionals.
Supporting business development and strategic projects.
Looking for ways to improve processes and make things work more efficiently.
You will initially receive hands-on training and support, working alongside experienced members of the team. As your knowledge develops, you will be given increasing responsibility and the opportunity to take ownership of your own work.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is bright, commercially minded and hungry to learn.
You will ideally have:
A degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Management or a related subject.
Good Excel skills and confidence working with numbers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Excellent attention to detail.
Confident written and verbal communication skills.
Good organisation and time-management skills.
The ability to manage several tasks and deadlines at the same time.
A professional and confident approach when dealing with people.
The ability to work independently while also contributing to a wider team.
Previous experience in financial services or asset finance would be an advantage, but it is not essential. We are more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, intelligence and potential to learn and develop.
Why this opportunity?
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who doesn''t want to be stuck doing the same thing every day.
You will gain exposure to different areas of the business, work with experienced professionals and develop valuable commercial and financial skills. As you progress, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility and develop your career within the wider organisation.
If you are ambitious, confident, curious and keen to build a career rather than simply find a job, this could be an excellent opportunity for you
