An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy working on major infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to develop their career within quantity surveying, gaining exposure to complex projects and working alongside experienced commercial and project professionals.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous work experience within the infrastructure or civil engineering sectors, whether through a placement year, internship or relevant industry experience. You will have the opportunity to build your technical and commercial skills while contributing to the successful delivery of major projects.

• 
  Support the commercial management of infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
• 
  Assist with cost planning, estimating and budget management.
• 
  Help prepare cost reports, valuations and financial forecasts.
• 
  Support procurement activities, including tender documentation and tender evaluations.
• 
  Assist with contract administration and the management of contractual obligations.
• 
  Monitor project costs and identify potential commercial risks.
• 
  Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, clients and contractors.
• 
  Develop an understanding of relevant construction contracts and commercial processes.
• 
  Maintain accurate project documentation and contribute to regular reporting.
• 
  Work towards professional accreditation and continued development within the quantity surveying profession.

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant construction-related discipline, ideally RICS accredited.
• Previous work experience within infrastructure, civil engineering or major construction projects is essential, gained through a placement, internship or graduate role.
• A genuine interest in infrastructure and the commercial management of complex projects.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn from experienced colleagues.
• An ambition to work towards chartership with the RICS or another relevant professional body.
