Graduate Paralegal - Public Family Law (Care)

Suitable for a law graduate who can demonstrate a genuine interest in Public Family Law/Care work

Location: Leamington Spa 

Salary: £25,000 per annum

What you'll be doing:

The role will involve:

• Supporting fee earners in the Public Family Law/Care team
• Liaising with clients in person, by telephone and by email
• Drafting correspondence and legal documents relating to family care matters including briefs, court documents, attendance notes and statements of evidence
• Attending to clients at court with counsel
• Diary management and appointment making 
• Providing general administrative support 

Who we’re looking for:

Suitable candidates will have:

• A law degree (ideally incorporating family/care-related electives) 
• Experience of working in a Family Care department of a law firm, handling legal aid matters (preferred but not essential)
• A positive approach to client care
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• The ability to handle sensitive situations in a professional manner
• A full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle

This is a full-time permanent job, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role will be office-based. A wealth of on-the-job training will be provided, with more formal training/qualification routes supported after 12-18 months’ employment.
