Graduate Mechanical Engineer

The successful Graduate Mechanical Engineer will become a member of the existing design team and will be responsible for detailed designs of mechanical systems and components. Mechanical Engineer - Responsibilities: Developing mechanical designs to an agreed specification, meeting deadlines, design criteria, liaising with suppliers. Developing designs for projects from initial enquiry, producing costings and producing Bill of Materials. Working as part of a multi discipline engineering team to develop complex product solutions. Working on varied types of drawings from single line design concepts to intricate detailed manufacturing drawings. Produce accurate working drawings for production. Produce sales proposal drawings. Provide support to other engineers and technicians. Keeping drawing schedules up to date for issued and received drawings. Skills and Qualities Required: Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Demonstratable mechanical design gained from university projects, placement year, and/or commercial engineering experience. knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and Vault software, or similar CAD packages.
