Graduate Junior Underwriter

RK Accountancy are working with a well established finance / insurance company just off the M65 motorway junction, who are recruiting for a Graduate Junior Underwriter role. The successful candidate will ideally have at least 1 years experience in insurance, financial services or asset finance/ factoring, but this is not essential. A strong academic record in maths is more important. You will be given full training for this role and there is a clear career progression path offered by the client. • Efficiently deal with all the deal changes we receive, and work with multiple teams within the company to be able to give a response to the broker, vendor and direct customers. • Review and sign off credit conditions within your mandate or escalate as appropriate. • Work collaboratively with the Credit Support team to prepare and present proposals for credit assessment. • Provide administrative support to the Credit Automation initiative. • Direct support for other teams when required. • Work closely with the Lead Underwriter to deliver an inclusive and positive team environment. Please note, you will be involved in processing and completing complex admin tasks, but training and support will be given. An understanding of the financial services sector and money laundering regulations would be very helpful for this opportunity.
