Adecco is delighted to be recruiting for a unique Graduate Development Programme within a South London local authority. This is an exceptional opportunity to launch a rewarding career in Housing, Homelessness Prevention and Public Service while making a genuine difference to vulnerable residents and local communities.
No previous housing experience is required. Full training will be provided.
About the Role
Working alongside experienced housing professionals, you will:
- Support residents who are homeless or threatened with homelessness
- Conduct homelessness assessments
- Develop and review Personalised Housing Plans (PHPs)
- Explore housing options to prevent and relieve homelessness
- Provide housing advice and guidance
- Work with landlords, support providers and partner agencies
- Gather evidence to support statutory decision-making
- Develop the skills to manage your own caseload
- Support vulnerable individuals in a professional, person-centred and trauma-informed manner
This role offers an opportunity to work directly with individuals and families facing housing challenges while developing specialist knowledge in homelessness legislation and prevention.

Successful candidates will undertake a comprehensive six-month training programme covering:

Training includes classroom learning, mentoring, case shadowing and supervised casework before progressing towards managing your own caseload.

- Educated to degree level, or due to graduate shortly
