As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking an ambitious Graduate Health & Safety Manager to join their team and develop a long-term career within a supportive and forward-thinking construction business.



The Role

As Graduate Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the implementation of the company''s Health & Safety strategy across multiple construction projects

  • Assisting with site inspections, audits, and safety reviews

  • Monitoring compliance with current health & safety legislation and company procedures

  • Supporting the preparation of risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work

  • Assisting in the investigation of incidents and identifying preventative measures

  • Working closely with site teams to promote a positive health & safety culture

  • Helping deliver health & safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness initiatives

  • Maintaining accurate health & safety records and compliance documentation

  • Supporting pre-construction teams with planning and risk management activities

  • Building strong relationships with operational teams, subcontractors, and clients

  • Developing your knowledge of construction legislation, CDM Regulations, and industry best practice through ongoing mentoring and training



The Ideal Candidate

The successful Graduate Health & Safety Manager will have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Health & Safety, Construction Management, Environmental Management, or a related discipline

  • A genuine passion for developing a career within construction health & safety

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn

  • The ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the business

  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office

  • A full UK Driving Licence or be working towards obtaining one

Desirable

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or willingness to work towards it

  • Previous placement, internship, or site experience within construction

  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations and UK Health & Safety legislation
