Looking to kick-start your career in mechanical design? This is a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Design Engineer or someone with a year in industry/placement year to join a cutting-edge R&D team working on precision-engineered products for a high-performance industry.

About the Role
You’ll be hands-on from day one—supporting the full design lifecycle from concept through to testing. Expect to work closely with experienced engineers on compact mechanical mechanisms, multipart assemblies, and prototypes. This is a role that will challenge your technical thinking and build your skills rapidly in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the R&D team in developing design briefs and technical specifications

• Produce 3D models and drawings for design, assembly, and manufacture

• Assist in prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical components

• Collaborate with manufacturers to resolve technical challenges

• Help manage project BOMs and contribute to cost-effective design solutions

• Participate in design reviews, assembly testing, and product improvement

What You’ll Need:

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

• Knowledge of 3D CAD software (Inventor or similar)

• Familiarity with DFM principles and mechanical tolerancing

• A passion for problem-solving and continuous learning

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

• Enthusiasm for hands-on work and real-world testing
