We are hiring a Graduate Commercial Analyst to assist in the production of commercial, financial, and economic analysis to support the business in making sound investment decisions. This is a critical role in ensuring that Char.gy spends its capital in a way that maximises its potential for sustainable growth. The role will suit a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is seeking a challenge and comfortable working in a fast-growing organisation. The role responsibilities will quickly grow with the business, representing an excellent development opportunity. You will work closely with various departments to assist in the development of business cases and bid submissions, providing guidance on the economic viability of various proposals. The role will report to the Commercial Manager and entail the presentation of insights to senior management – good communication skills are therefore essential. The role will support the business in the delivery of its growth agenda and thus will be heavily involved in: assessing the potential viability of any project, contributing to the successful completion of bids, and any ad-hoc financial and economic analysis. The candidate will receive training in financial concepts such as investment appraisal and financial modelling.Key Responsibilities

With the support of the Commercial Team, the role’s responsibilities will include:The production of financial and commercial analysis for senior stakeholders, including the Executive Team and ShareholdersCollaborating with other teams including Bids, Sales, Field Services, and Legal in the production of business cases and submission of bidsThe development of financial tools and models to assist in financial analysisSupporting the production of any initiative involving cashflow forecastsPerson Specification

This role will suit if you…Have completed an undergraduate degree in a related field, achieving at least a 2:1 or aboveHave a basic understanding of Microsoft Excel with an interest in becoming an expertHave strong written and spoken communication skills, it would be particularly helpful if you have experience writing documents that present a structured argumentHave experience with synthesising information from multiple sources into a clear storyHave an interest in financial and economic conceptsEnjoy producing innovative visualisations to help provide context to an argumentAre proactive and able to work autonomously where neededHave a keen interest in understanding how businesses workHave a creative mind and are happy to suggest new approaches to analysisLike to own and solve problems and are willing to work with others in order to continually improve the quality of our decision-makingEnjoy analysing dataAre a self-starter with a “can-do” attitude, a friendly demeanour while still able to push hard to achieve targets and timelinesWhat do we offer?
