These are highly technical, often specialist schemes and involve work on projects such as power networks and substations. You will be joining a very experienced team where everyone takes responsibility for their own projects.This role is for a graduate engineer who is a hands on structural design engineer.You will be providing complex design solutions. The ideal candidate will be a high calibre graduate with a few years of design experience, but recent graduates with a good attitude and real desire for engineering design work will be considered. The role will ideally suit a high calibre graduate with up to 5 years of experience in structural design.Experience in the power sector would be highly advantageous.The types of projects will include substation design, battery storage facilities, design of blast resistant buildings, switch houses, GIS buildings, buildings to house transformer cells and designing of specialist steelwork structures and supports underground and inside of tunnels to carry heavy power cables.
