Graduate Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Our client is looking to recruit a Graduate Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team, supporting refurbishment projects across the housing, education, healthcare and public building sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveying graduate to gain hands-on experience across cost management, procurement, subcontract administration, valuations and financial reporting, working alongside experienced industry professionals. Key Responsibilities Assist with project budgets, cost control and financial reporting. Support subcontractor procurement, tender analysis and negotiations. Prepare cost plans, valuations and applications for payment. Assist with variations, change control and final accounts. Support contract administration and maintain accurate commercial records. Liaise with project managers, site teams, clients and subcontractors. Requirements Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline (essential). Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office. Construction placement or industry experience desirable. Awareness of JCT/NEC contracts and an interest in pursuing RICS or CIOB accreditation advantageous. Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
