A leading consultancy is looking for a Graduate Acoustic Consultant to join its growing team in Colchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious graduate with a degree in Acoustical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline to begin their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.

As a Graduate Acoustic Consultant, you will gain hands-on experience across environmental noise, building acoustics, and infrastructure projects. You will assist with site surveys, noise measurements, data analysis, and acoustic modelling, while preparing technical reports under the supervision of senior consultants. The role provides structured mentoring and support towards professional membership of the Institute of Acoustics.

Duties for the role of Graduate Acoustic Consultant include:

• Supporting environmental noise surveys and acoustic assessments

• Assisting with building acoustics testing and modelling

• Analysing data and preparing technical reports

• Working closely with senior colleagues on project delivery

• Liaising with clients, contractors, and design teams under supervision

Skills and experience required for the role of Graduate Acoustic Consultant:

• Degree in Acoustical Engineering, Acoustics, Physics, or a related subject

• Strong interest in environmental and building acoustics

• Good communication and organisational skills

• Attention to detail with a proactive approach

• Full UK driving licence preferred
