We are currently working on behalf of a social housing provider to recruit to a Governance Officer on an initial interim basis. Some home working will be available, with travel required to their central Leeds office when required.

Responsibilities of the Governance Officer:

• Assisting with the delivery of governance services through advising and supporting the organisations Board and Committee members, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements
• Setting agenda points for Directors and Chairs
• Managing report submissions and circulating meetings minutes and papers
• Ensuring meetings are ran smoothly
• Producing meeting minutes
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with Committee and Board members
• Supporting the organisation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and chosen code of governance
• Providing support with Governance Reviews and in-depth regulatory assessments
• Providing advice and support to the wider organisation with regards to governance
• Drafting and submitting governance reports

Requirements of the Governance Officer:

• Experience of providing governance services within the housing sector
