Governance and Compliance Manager Location: Sheffield (Hybrid - minimum 3 days in office) Salary: £22.26 per hour PAYE Hours: 37 hours per week, Full-time Contract: Interim Vetting: NPPV3 vetting required for successful candidate Join our client in Sheffield as a Governance and Compliance Manager, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Mayor and Deputy Mayor in the Policing and Reform Directorate. This interim position offers a unique opportunity to ensure effective governance, assurance, and compliance within the policing sector. Day-to-day of the role: Manage the administration of the Deputy Mayor''s governance and assurance arrangements. Support the decision-making processes, including financial sign-offs. Conduct independent reviews of the police complaints process. Manage the Independent Custody Visiting Scheme. Liaise with the Police and Crime Panel. Administer, monitor, and report on risk management arrangements relating to Policing and Crime. Provide relevant reports to the Senior Leadership Team and Joint Independent Audit Committee. Administer Police Misconduct Panels and Police Appeal Tribunals. Manage requests for financial assistance. Ensure compliance with statutory information governance requirements, including GDPR and the Freedom of Information Act. Maintain the Mayor''s Publication Scheme and ensure compliance with the Elected Local Policing Bodies (Specified Information Order).
