Goods In/Warehouse Operative

Pro-Found Recruitment Solutions are looking to recruit a Goods In/Warehouse Operative for our client based in Normanton, WF6.

Goods In/Warehouse Operative Benefits:

• Fixed Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm & Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm
• 39 hours per week
• Paid weekly
• Pay Rate: -13.83 per hour
• Contract: Temporary ongoing
• Location: Normanton, WF6
• Start Date: ASAP

Goods In/Warehouse Operative Duties:

• Working within the Goods In department, receiving and checking incoming deliveries
• Checking goods against delivery paperwork and ensuring items are recorded accurately
• Computer-based administration, including updating stock records and processing warehouse information
• Picking large and heavy items ready for dispatch
• Packing and securely taping items ready for dispatch
• Handling large wooden items, cabinets and white goods
• Loading and unloading goods safely
• Checking items for accuracy and condition
• Following instructions and warehouse procedures
• Meeting daily production and warehouse targets
• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
• Working independently and as part of a team
• Carrying out regular manual handling throughout the working day

Goods In/Warehouse Operative Criteria:

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential
• Previous Goods In or computer-based warehouse experience would be advantageous
• Comfortable using a computer and learning new warehouse systems
• Hard-working, reliable and punctual
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow instructions and work to set procedures
• Good work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Physically capable of carrying out regular manual handling duties

Please note: This is a physically demanding warehouse role which involves regular manual handling of large and heavy items. Candidates must also be comfortable carrying out some computer-based administration as part of their daily duties.
