Goods Inwards Quality Inspector

The Role

We''re working with a well-established manufacturing business looking to bring in a Goods Inwards Quality Inspector on a 6-month fixed-term basis.

This role sits at the front end of production and plays a key part in making sure all incoming materials meet required standards before being released into the manufacturing process.

What You''ll Be Doing

• Inspect incoming materials against purchase orders, specifications, and quality standards

• Review and verify material certification (EN(phone number removed).1 / 3.2)

• Check chemical and mechanical properties against specifications

• Carry out visual and dimensional inspections

• Support non-destructive testing where required (PMI, DPI, hardness testing)

• Apply sampling plans in line with ISO 2859-1

• Raise and manage non-conformance reports

• Maintain accurate inspection and traceability records

• Work closely with suppliers, purchasing, and internal teams to resolve issues

What They''re Looking For

• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering quality environment

• Strong understanding of incoming inspection processes

• Experience working with material certification (3.1 / 3.2)

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach
