Goods In Administrator – 6 Month Maternity Cover

Salary: £14.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Goods In Administrator to join an established engineering company on a 6-month maternity cover contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and reliable individual with Goods In/warehouse administration experience who is comfortable working in a busy engineering or manufacturing environment.
The Role
As Goods In Administrator, you will be responsible for the accurate receipt, checking and processing of incoming goods, ensuring all deliveries are correctly recorded and allocated within the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Booking incoming deliveries onto the internal system
- Checking delivery notes, quantities and documentation
- Inspecting incoming goods for damage or discrepancies
- Liaising with suppliers, couriers and internal departments regarding deliveries
- Updating stock records and maintaining accurate paperwork
- Allocating goods to the correct storage locations
- Supporting general warehouse administration
- Assisting with stock checks and inventory control
- Operating a counterbalance FLT when required
- Ensuring goods are handled and stored safely
- Working closely with the engineering, purchasing and production teams
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience in Goods In, warehouse administration or stores
- Good administration and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good IT skills and confidence using warehouse/database systems
- Experience working within an engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment would be advantageous
- A valid Counterbalance FLT licence is essential
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A reliable, practical and hands-on approach
