Part of the Genuit Group, Manthorpe Building Products are a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of innovative plastic injection moulded, vacuum formed and extruded products for the building industry. With a reputation for quality, innovation and continuous improvement, we''re looking for a motivated Goods In Team Leader to join our manufacturing team.

The Role

As the Goods In Team Leader, you''ll play a key role in leading, supporting and developing your team while ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

You''ll provide day-to-day direction on the shop floor, promote a positive working culture and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain excellent Health & Safety and Environmental standards across the department.

  • Lead, motivate and supervise production staff in line with company policies.

  • Plan and coordinate daily production activities to meet customer demand.

  • Monitor product quality and ensure all standards are consistently achieved.

  • Act as a positive role model, promoting teamwork, professionalism and accountability.

  • Support employee development through training, mentoring, appraisals and performance reviews.

  • Assist with recruitment, investigations and employee development where required.

  • Work closely with other departments to resolve production issues and improve efficiency.

  • Drive continuous improvement and 5S activities to enhance productivity, safety and workplace organisation.

  • Ensure production targets are delivered on time and in full.

  • Promote waste reduction, sustainability and safe working practices.

What We''re Looking For

We''re looking for someone who leads by example and enjoys developing others while delivering results.

You''ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production leadership role.

  • Strong communication and people management skills.

  • A proactive, positive and hands-on approach.

  • Good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience carrying out quality inspections and maintaining production standards.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider management team.

  • A passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Desirable but not essential to be considered for the role;

  • Fire Marshal qualification.

  • First Aid qualification.

  • Experience with 5S and Lean manufacturing principles.

  • While this role is ideally suited to someone looking to work our standard 48-hour week, we recognise the importance of flexibility and welcome applications from candidates seeking a 40-hour working week - this is Monday - Friday days only.
