We have an exciting opportunity for a Goods In Operative based in Northampton to join one of our clients on a full-time temporary basis.
Summary of the Goods In Operative
Salary: £13.30 per hour
Location: Northampton
Type of Contract: Temporary approx 6 months
Hours: 39 hours, Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm flexible start
Responsibilities of the Goods In Operative
- Receive and process incoming goods, particularly damaged or broken items.
- Book items into the internal system accurately upon arrival.
- Allocate stock to the repairs team and coordinate next steps in the repair journey.
- Set up and manage repair processes for faulty products.
- Work closely with the repairs team to ensure efficient flow of goods through the system.
- Take clear and accurate photographs of incoming stock for records or assessments.
- Occasionally drive a transit van to customer sites when required.
Requirements for a successful Goods In Operative
- Must hold a full, clean UK driving licence (required to drive a transit van occasionally).
- Previous experience in a warehouse, goods-in, or repairs environment.
- Able to lift and carry goods of varying weights, including heavy/large items.
- Confident using stock or inventory systems to book and track items.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working both independently and within a team.
- Proactive and able to take ownership of processes.
- Basic IT skills.
