Gloucestershire - Lead Child Protection Practitioner

We are looking for an experienced Lead Child Protection Practitioner to join our teams based in Gloucestershire. This is an exciting opportunity with excellent rates of pay 47ph. 37 hours a week. 3 month contract but with the opportunity to extend. Flexible hybrid working arrangements. We are seeking an experienced social worker with substantial post-qualifying experience in child protection and the capability to meet the national Lead Child Protection Practitioner Standards. As a Lead Child Protection Practitioner, they will provide decisive leadership in critical moments for children, oversee complex child protection work, model excellent practice and support colleagues to strengthen confidence, professional curiosity and critical thinking. Working within Multi-Agency Child Protection Teams, they will strengthen partnership working with health, education, police and other agencies to ensure children receive timely help and protection. The role includes providing consultation, chairing key child protection meetings, overseeing section 47 enquiries and ensuring assessment, planning and decisions are grounded in strong analysis, risk and evidence of harm. They will lead reflective supervision, practice development, quality assurance and service improvement, contributing to a culture of learning, innovation and continuous improvement.
