Job Title: Production Operative – Finishing Team
Location: Glossop Cartons – Glossop (Near Manchester, Derbyshire)
We are currently recruiting Production Operatives to join our Finishing Team at Glossop Cartons, based in Glossop (near Manchester, Derbyshire). This is a temporary role with the potential to become permanent. You’ll be working in a physically demanding environment on the factory shop floor, playing a vital role in the production process.
Key Responsibilities:Feed large machinery with cardboard materials
Wrap and pack pallets of finished cartons
Use hand pump trucks (training will be provided)
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Follow all health & safety and company procedures
Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
Comfortable working in a factory setting
Willingness to operate large machinery after training
Must wear steel toe cap shoes and clothing with no buttons
Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
Flexible to work rotating shifts
Pay rate: £13.72 per hour
Shift patterns:
6:00 AM – 1:30 PM (Early shift)
1:30 PM – 9:00 PM (Late shift)
Weekly rotating shifts
Initial 3-month contract, with the possibility of permanent employment
Full training provided
