We are looking for an experienced Global Payroll Manager to own and manage payroll operations across 19 countries, spanning both direct employees and those engaged through Employer of Record (EOR) partners. This role will balance in-house payrolls in markets with third party provider-managed payrolls and is part of our finance team.You will ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery while supporting our rapidly expanding fintech business (approx 400 employees). This is a hands-on, high-impact role requiring strong knowledge of local payroll regulations and tax compliance - particularly in Europe, US and Canada.As part of this role, there will also be a need to

audit and review our current payroll systems, with potential for overhaul or consolidation

to ensure scalability, compliance, and efficiency.Key Responsibilities

Run direct payroll operations for various international legal entities (including, but not limited to the US, Canada, Nigeria and UK), ensuring accurate and timely processing in compliance with Company’s policies and local tax and labour regulationsOversee EOR payroll (e.g. for France, China, Philippines) in partnership with Deel and local vendors.Support administration of global employee benefits programs (e.g. healthcare, pensions etc.), ensuring accuracy, compliance and smooth integration with payroll.Ensure correct taxation of payroll and benefits according to country-specific regulationsEnsure timely statutory filings with appropriate government authoritiesManage and/or oversee year-end payroll activities globallyMaintain accurate payroll records, reports, and metrics for management and audits.Partner internally with People and Finance on topics such as compensation, benefits, global mobility and compliance to ensure global payroll needs are identified, considered and communicatedManage audit processes related to payrollServe as subject matter expert for payroll, payroll taxes and payroll systems for employees and internal partnersStandardise payroll processes across countries to improve scalability and efficiency.Lead the audit and review of existing payroll systems, with potential for consolidation or overhaul, to support future growthProactively identify areas of process improvement with global payroll operations and implement solutions to automate and streamline processes to scale and drive efficiencies while maintaining strong quality controlsDrive ad hoc payroll improvement initiatives: EOR payroll systems review, new entity setups, new benefits set up and process automation.Qualifications and Experience

Proven track record managing multi-country payroll and benefits, ideally in high-growth techStrong knowledge of US and Canadian payroll regulationsExperience auditing and overhauling/changing payroll systems/processesHands-on experience with Deel (Rippling a strong bonus).Excellent understanding of payroll accountingSolid understanding of benefits administration across multiple jurisdictions.Deep understanding of payroll taxes, benefits, and statutory compliance globallyExperience balancing in-house payrolls with third-party providers/EOR partnersExcellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skillsStrong communicator, able to partner across Finance, HR, and external providersComfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.A few important notes if you’re considering applying:Closing date: Friday 26 SeptemberWe will review 100% of applications, but only after the closing ..... full job details .....
