Manpower is currently seeking an interim Global Category Strategy Assistant Manager, to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, to become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.

The position is based at Blackfriars on London''s Victoria Embankment, just a short walk from Blackfriars tube. This is a full-time temporary role for 12 months, to start asap, requiring 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £54,000 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.

The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.

JOB PURPOSE
The role will report into the Deodorants Senior Category Strategy Manager and will support the Global Category Leads on multiple category agendas, working closely with Global Brand leads andamp; Cross Functional Leads. This is a high visibility role working hand in hand with senior stakeholders, learning from the category leadership team directly - enabling excellent opportunity to build category fundamentals, develop strategic competencies and leadership qualities.
The Strategy Team works at the heart of the Deodorants Category, globally, and plays a key role in the category marketing community working on the design, development and execution of long-term category strategic plans, Innovation management, and objectives to drive competitive, consistent, profitable growth.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This role is the partner for each category initiatives, inputs and general consultation from both BG/BU teams across all functions. The successful applicant will support, anchor and lead key strategic workstreams:
  • Support Category Strategy, translating the Personal Care strategy into the Deodorants category and deeply understanding the future growth spaces
  • Support in crafting and operationalising of the Market Making and Category Building Pillars
  • Performance analysis and reporting, category reviews, and support on leadership team meetings
  • Category Innovation Management:
  • Lead End to End innovation cycle governance of Global Projects for Deodorants
  • Ownership of Innovation Funnel roadmap and analysis - collaborating with global and local teams to ensure plans are always up to date and sufficient against Category Strategy.

The role encompasses multiple different aspects and the need to constantly juggle between ''developing STRATEGIC vision'' andamp; ''CRAFTING Growth Agenda'' to Process Governance- requiring high level of agility and shift in mindset.
