You''d join a hands-on engineering team that keeps a high-tech growing operation running reliably.The roleAs Glasshouse Engineer, you''ll keep the site''s engineering systems running, reducing downtime and supporting the growing team. You''ll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault-find across a mix of mechanical, electrical and control systems, and make sure the glasshouse environment stays stable for the crop.Key responsibilitiesCarry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns across the siteMaintain and fault-find on glasshouse systems, including heating, boilers, ventilation, screens, irrigation and fertigationSupport climate control and automation systems, working with the growing team to keep conditions on targetMaintain electrical and mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, lighting and water treatmentComplete maintenance records and job cards accuratelyWork safely at all times, following site procedures, risk assessments and permit systemsIdentify and recommend improvements that reduce downtime or energy useManage spares and liaise with external contractors and suppliers when neededAbout youEssentialRecognised engineering qualification (such as NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent) in a mechanical, electrical or multi-skilled disciplineProven experience as a maintenance or ..... full job details .....
