The GIS Technician is a member of the GIS Team which sits within the BIM Team at SCS Railways. The candidate would be responsible for supporting the ‘Structures and Earthworks’ Delivery Units with their GIS requests, alongside developing cutting edge GIS solutions for the wider project. This role would be ideal for a professional with GIS skills in the ESRI suite of software, who also has a working knowledge of using ETL tools such as Safe FME for managing efficient workflows and is looking to produce creative GIS solutions. Tasks: Produce creative and innovative GIS solutions using the latest set of tools available within the ESRI suite, and self-developed custom solutions to specific requests Integration of 3D BIM models into GIS - data processing and visualisation Develop and maintain bespoke GIS interfaces and data to provide user access to complex datasets Create mobile GIS applications using packages such as Survey123 to assist in the management of field data collection and our digital permitting sy...
