GIS Technical Lead (ESRI / ArcGIS) Contract - Paying up to -700 Per Day, Inside IR35, Based in South Wales, Hybrid Working, 12 Month Contract, To Start ASAP



Your new role

We''re seeking an experienced Technical Lead to provide architectural leadership, technical assurance and integration oversight for a major GIS transformation programme.

Working client-side, you''ll act as the key interface between internal technology teams and delivery partners, ensuring solution designs are robust, secure, supportable and aligned to enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and assurance across solution design and delivery
• Define and validate end-to-end integration architecture, APIs, interfaces and data flows
• Challenge supplier designs and identify technical risks, dependencies and gaps
• Ensure solutions align with architecture, cloud, security and operational standards
• Support governance, design reviews and technical assurance activities
• Manage third-party technical deliverables and quality expectations
• Work closely with architects, project teams and business stakeholders to drive successful delivery

What you''ll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a Technical Lead, Solution Architect or Integration Architect
• Strong GIS and ESRI experience, including enterprise geospatial platforms
• Experience working on large scale supplier led or systems integrator led programmes
• Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns, cloud technologies and enterprise architecture
• Experience engaging with architecture, cyber security and operational support teams
• Ability to review and challenge technical designs and communicate recommendations to stakeholders
